When life gives you a box of spaghetti, you are faced with a tough option (not including the option to just eat the whole box). Do you transfer the contents into a jar or container, or do you keep it in the box? Keeping it in the box feels more practical - all of the instructions are right there at your disposal. But leaving all those half empty boxes of pasta creates an eye-sore in your pantry and a potential mess when you accidentally grab it upside down (guilty).
So this little trick seems to solve every pasta problem but the carbs. Get a jar for each pasta, rice, and grain, a chalkboard label, and a chalkboard pen. Include the cook-time any instructions you need to reference. For instance, in the below pantry, quinoa was a new item and not something they regularly cooked. It will save time looking up cooking directions if you put the steps on the label.
